The aim of this site

with focusing on

This homepage is the travel report of the Knights of the Mighty Wings. We started our journey from 1998.12. At this moment, the page is concentrating on our trip in Macedonia and Serbia (inc. Kosovo i Metohija) so as to tell the situation from traveler's eye.

Aim 1 / 2 / 3

aim 1

The war in Yugoslavia was probably the last war in Europe in the 20th century. Under the reason of 'protecting human rights', Allied countries (so called NATO) bombed Yugoslavia. The bombing took lots of Kosover's life ('ethnic cleansing' started after the first bomb by NATO), destroyed Yugoslavian citizen's hope, put deep misunderstanding in Kosover's mind, and ended up with the 'surrender' of Yugoslavia. We, the Knights of the Mighty Wings were the ones who were involved in this war and who saw the situation BEFORE the wartime. The facts in front of us were completely different from the situation reported in Western media (Actually they didn't tell any lie, but they did tell only a part of the situation).  It was the same during the wartime. And now, the name 'Kosovo' is going far away from people's mind. Kosovers are enjoying their 'freedom'. UN is challenging constructing a new country. However, the action what NATO did was just an invasion and the consequence denied the sovereignty of  Yugoslavia. The timing, NATO (US)' s reaction and the outcome of the war implies something completely different from human rights. There were (are) clear necessity for the war to be charged at that time in Kosovo in terms of new orders in Europe and the world. If the war is understood with the idea of human rights (actually OSCE and lots of journalists down there before the wartime followed this track), the next catastrophe can easily be MADE (or led) in Balkans. Even now, there seems to be only few people understanding 'the real situation in front of them', we would like to make a tiny effort to analyze the situation in Balkans for the better future for Balkan inhabitants.

One of our purposes is to make the cause-and-result of that war clear.

aim 2

Also we come across that Albanian people (Kosovers regard themselves as 'Albanian') are quite different from any other people. In the city side, they appeared as 'uninformed', 'rude', 'ignorant', 'curious' and 'overconfident' people. Also we found them hardly listen to others. On the other hand, we were helped by 'uninformed', 'poor', 'generous', 'pure' and 'curious' people both in urban and rural areas. we found that the former is the one who urged the war and who escaped first. Then the latter always suffers. We also came across a doubt if we can apply the Western logic (based on natural rights) on Albanians. Though the idea of democracy based on discussing, it just seems to lead catastrophe if the method is automatically applied to Albanians. They are people with strong pride (Nothing can change their Identity as being 'Albanians'), big family (6-10 children), strong love with homeland, and without listening to others. Since they are located in Balkans, the most important in EU frontier in the 21st century and spreading into many Western countries, getting correct information about what Albanians will help thinking of the world in the near future.

Our second  purpose is to tell what Albanians in front of us (Asians) are.

aim 3

During the trip, we've  come across lots of people an different characters. since we believe that correct understanding of the people's way of thinking will help avoiding anything ridiculous, this site also contains the travel report with OUR point of view. the third purpose will be recognized as the enhanced version of second purpose:

to report the life in Balkans with traveler's view

At least, such an amount of death was not necessary at all...

and the catastrophe was predictable if we don't stick too much with human rights.

It was international community that was responsible for all the death in that war.
